Kumu Pa'a Kawika Foster is a respected 51st Generation Traditional Cultural Practitioner from the island of Molokai, Hawaii. Kawika's journey is a captivating fusion of tradition and modernity, driven by a dedication to preserving ancestral knowledge and integrating it into present-day life.
A Legacy of Learning:
In 2007, Kawika began a life-changing journey under the mentorship of Kumu Pa'a Nui Lawrence Aki, a renowned teacher of Halawa Valley. He spent eight years in the beautiful surroundings of Halawa Valley, Molokai. Here, he immersed himself in the teachings of a lineage that has been passed down for 51 generations through traditional methods. This journey ultimately led to the mastery he shares with others today.
Cross-Continental Sharing:
Since 2010, he has been on a worldwide journey, spreading the wisdom of ancient knowledge to various destinations such as Australia, Europe, USA, the Middle East, and the Pacific Islands. He uses the power of oral tradition to explain how we can keep a strong connection to our roots, showing that our ancestors' way of life still holds significance today.
A Healer and Guardian of Culture:
Kumu Kawika is highly skilled in various Traditional Hawaiian healing practices, such as Hamohamo (the predecessor to Lomi Lomi massage), Ho'oponopono (Making Right Relationships), Oli (chanting or prayer), and Hula (the traditional Hawaiian dance form). He possesses a wealth of knowledge and skills that transcend geographical boundaries to positively impact communities across the globe.
